Meysam Veysi and Mojtaba Veysi, two brothers and cultural and civil activists of the Kurdish Yarsan community, were killed by direct gunfire on Thursday morning, May 28, 2026, during an raid by the Intelligence forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on their hiding place in the village of "Qaleh Kuhush" in the Dalāho County.These two brothers, who were followers of the Yarsan faith, had been living in hiding for months following the December 2025 protests and security pressures. According to reports, around 4 AM, armed forces completely surrounded their residence and opened fire from several directions without any prior warning.Evidence published from the scene of the incident indicates targeted shots, bloodstains in parts of the house, as well as extensive destruction and searching of belongings; images that speak to the severity of the violence used in this operation.
