Farid Ramezani, born on 14 September 1994 (23 Shahrivar 1373), was a young man whom those around him described as kind, hardworking, and full of zest for life. Like many of his generation, he thought about the future and had plans for it. He wanted to marry and build for himself the peaceful life that is every human's right; a life of security, tranquility, and freedom. In the videos that remain of him, Farid is rarely seen without a smile. He was one of those people who loved to make others laugh. Sometimes he would hold a water bottle, a mobile phone, or any other object like a microphone, imitate singers, and entertain the crowd with singing and jokes. In other videos, we see him with the family's children; he embraces them, plays with them, and creates happy moments for them with the warmth evident in his demeanor. On the evening of 8 January 2026 (18 Dey 1404), Farid, accompanied by several friends, went to Tehran's Lake neighborhood to participate in popular protests.
