Sima Mousavi, born on March 16, 1989 (25 Esfand 1367) in Karaj, was 37 years old and held a bachelor's degree in film directing. She had a deep passion for acting and, in the final years of her life, had also turned her talents to fashion and costume design. Sima was warmhearted and brimming with life; friends and loved ones remembered her for her cheerfulness, gentle warmth, and perpetual laughter. Her presence brought light and joy to those around her, and she always sought to ensure that anyone in her company shared in that happiness. She attended costume design courses and subsequently set up a small workshop at home, pouring her energy into launching her own business—a journey cut short by her killing. Sima’s little workshop remains untouched to this day. On the evening of January 9, 2026 (19 Dey 1404), amid nationwide protests, Sima Mousavi and her 41-year-old husband, Omid Fallahpour, were shot and killed in the Golshahr district of Karaj . According to published reports, upon hearing the sound of gunfire and desperate cries for help that night, they opened their garage door to offer shelter to a wounded person.
