Jahanbakhsh Hesar Firouzeh, approximately 70 years old, hailed from Shiraz. For many years, he worked as a truck driver, earning his livelihood, and in the final years of his life, he managed a building materials shop. According to acquaintances, he was a hardworking, calm, and family-oriented man whose life was inextricably linked with toil and perseverance. On 9 January 2026 (19 Dey 1404), he was present in the vicinity of Sharifabad Crossroads in Shiraz, coinciding with the protests of that day. According to close relatives, upon witnessing the forces clashing with defenseless citizens, he attempted to prevent the violence and even tried to disarm one of the officers. Subsequently, he was struck by buckshot from behind and severely wounded. Those present at the scene tried to staunch his bleeding using one of the women's headscarves. He managed to move a few steps, but the severity of his injuries prevented him from continuing. He was then taken home with the help of a motorcyclist, and his family was informed of his condition.
