Fallen Hero Negar Ajam, born on 9 August 1998 (18 Mordad 1377), was 27 years old, a native of Gonabad, and a law graduate. She was a young woman who envisioned her future under the shelter of law, justice, freedom, and human dignity, believing that a free society only gains true meaning through the rule of law. Negar had married at twenty, and her family was preparing to hold her wedding ceremony in Nowruz 2026 (Nowruz 1405). But on the evening of 8 January 2026 (18 Dey 1404), when she took to the streets of Mashhad to stand alongside the protesters, a different fate awaited her. Separated from her friends amidst tear gas and street chaos, she asked a driver for his phone to let her family know where she was, but her call never reached them. From that very night, her family and friends searched tirelessly through hospitals and medical facilities. Time and again they were told that Negar was alive, and this flicker of hope kept their search going; but at noon on 10 January 2026 (20 Dey), their painful waiting came to an end at the Behesht-e Rezvan forensic medical institute in Mashhad, where they found her lifeless body.
