Mehdi Savadkoohi, born in 2005 (1384), was twenty years old and hailed from Isfahan. On 9 January 2026 (19 Dey), concurrent with nationwide protests in Isfahan's Baharestan district, he was targeted by live ammunition fired by repressive forces. The bullet struck his side, and he was wounded in that same confrontation. Following this incident, he lost his life. Mehdi's body was handed over to his family seven days later. During these seven days, the family remained in a state of uncertainty and under security pressure. According to the family's account, they faced repeated threats during this period and were informed that they had no right to hold any ceremonies, gatherings, or public burial rites. It was also emphasized that no information regarding the details of his death should be disseminated. During this same period, pressure to control the narrative also continued.
