Fallen Hero Tayyebeh Kourvandi, 39 years old, was the child of a freedom-fighting father. When she was only three years old, she felt the atrocities of this regime in her very bones. She lost her father on 22 April 1989 (2 Ordibehesht 1368), during the massacres of 1988 (1367). Her father was Execution on charges of political activity against the Islamic Republic. Tayyebeh was among Iran's beloved Kurds, originally from Asadabad, Hamadan. During the popular uprising in the month of Dey (December–January), she too joined the ranks of the justice-seekers and movement volunteers. She was a woman as tempestuous as ocean waves and as sturdy as an oak tree. She had harnessed all her strength to reclaim the freedom of her compatriots. She poured all her energy into shouting her demands; she could not remain silent in the face of oppression, nor would she extend a hand of friendship to the murderers of the Iranian people, the executioners of her father. Thus, with a clenched fist and a voice rising from the depths of her chest, she demanded the rights of a nation; despite knowing full well the savagery of this regime, she did not retreat a single step. Her absence among us stands as proof…
