Mozaffar Shadmehr, 44, was the owner of the "Novin Yeylaq Shadmehr" brand. A business management specialist as well as a consultant in business, sales, and strategy, he was also active in teaching communication skills alongside his commercial pursuits. On 9 January (19 Dey), Mozaffar was struck by live ammunition and wounded outside his home in Nasimshahr, Tehran. After being shot, he walked to Islamshahr Hospital on his own feet , but succumbed to the severity of his injuries and passed away. According to reports, under intense pressure, the victim's family was forced to bury his body under the official designation of "martyr." With Mozaffar's death, the livelihoods of several families directly or indirectly dependent on his business were shattered by unemployment, right on the eve of the New Year holiday. A video released of his young son at the funeral portrays a deeply agonizing scene: the child was striking his own head and face as he mourned his father, while people around him held his hands to keep him from harming himself—a sight that broke the heart of every viewer.
