Fallen Hero Mohammad Mohammadi Qaleh-Sefidi; Mamad, you're the best!

Mohammad Mohammadi Qaleh-Sefidi, 32, was a local artist and comedian from the Qaleh-Sefid region of Najafabad in Isfahan Province. Well-known throughout the community for his humor, video content, and live streams, he gained widespread popularity under the familiar catchphrase and nickname "Mamad, You're the Best!" Through his creative work, he continuously sought to bring joy and positive energy to his local audience. According to reports released by human rights organizations and eyewitness accounts, he was shot directly and killed during public protests in Vilashahr, Najafabad, on 8 January 2026 (18 Dey 1404). Other field reports indicated that he sustained severe injuries after being targeted in the alleys leading to the main street. Following his death, his body was returned to his birthplace and laid to rest in the Behesht-e Mohammadi Cemetery (Mahalleh-ye Bala) in Qaleh-Sefid, Najafabad. A seventh-day memorial service was held on 22 January 2026 (2 Bahman 1404), attended by his family, friends, and fellow townsfolk. His fortieth-day memorial service took place in late February 2026 (late Bahman 1404), where the surrounding area was placed under strict security surveillance. In connection with this event, reports emerged detailing the arrest of several attendees and civil activists—including an environmental activist—on their way back from the ceremony. Following his death, social media users, particularly on Instagram, honored his memory, artistic work, and character by sharing hashtags of his name alongside the phrase "Mamad, You're the Best!"
