Fallen Hero Mojtaba Esmaeilpour, a 32-year-old teacher from Rudbast and a resident of Babolsar, lost his life during the nationwide protests of January 2026 (Dey 1404) in that city. He was the only child of his family and was on the verge of marriage. According to accounts published by local sources, Mojtaba was present on 9 January 2026 (19 Dey 1404) in Babolsar's Shahbani Square, where gatherings and scattered clashes had been reported. In that same location, he was targeted by a direct shot from a live bullet fired by Islamic Republic government agents from close range and was severely wounded. It is said that the bullet struck his head, and his condition was critical from that moment. Eyewitnesses to the scene spoke of a brief and sudden moment in which his life ended before the eyes of others. After this tragic incident, Mojtaba fell into a coma and remained under critical care in the hospital for several days. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, he lost his life after four days.
